Armsday Roll Recommendations

 #1 – SUROS ARI-41

  1. Hammer Forged / Oiled Frame | Snapshot / Rifled Barrel | Rangefinder
  2. High Caliber Rounds / Casket Mag | Single Point Sling / Injection Mold | Partial Refund
  3. Fitted Stock / Oiled Frame | Single Point Sling / Reinforced Barrel | Counterbalance

This week, we’re looking at high range builds for our Auto Rifles, and roll #1 for the SUROS ARI-41 offers three different range boosts to help its base 17 range stat. These boosts, combined with the gun’s base 68 stability, will make for an extremely proficient stat blend that is perfect for roasting anyone with a lesser roll in PvP.

#3 – SUROS ARI-45

  1. Perfect Balance / Appended Magazine | Lightweight / Injection Mold | Take a Knee
  2. Fitted Stock / Feather Mag | Speed Reload / Reinforced Barrel | Outlaw
  3. Hammer Forged / Appended Magazine | Speed Reload / Rifled Barrel | Hidden Hand

While this roll lacks stability, it boasts one of the highest range stats possible in an Auto Rifle along with the Hidden Hand perk’s boost to Aim Assistance. You’ll end up with an Auto Rifle that can out-range pretty much any other Auto Rifle, offering you a special advantage against certain players in the Crucible.

None – SUROS PDX-41

  1. High Caliber Rounds/Casket Mag | Private Eye | Single Point Sling/Reinforced Barrel
  2. Perfect Balance/Oiled Frame | Outlaw | Single Point Sling/Smallbore
  3. Fitted Stock/Casket Mag | Rodeo | Lightweight/Injection Mold

We don’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade, but we don’t think any of the rolls this week are worth it for the PDX-41. At this point in the Destiny metagame, we’re looking for guns that stand out in some way, and the most notable perk for changing the dynamics of the PDX Pulse Rifles is Counterbalance. Hold on to this package until a Counterbalance roll is offered, as the perfect recoil pattern will allow you to walk your shots up a target’s body into its head for maximum efficiency.

None – SUROS PDX-45

  1. High Caliber Rounds/Oiled Frame | Outlaw | Lightweight/Reinforced Barrel
  2. Hammer Forged/Casket Mag | Zen Moment | Speed Reload/Injection Mold
  3. High Caliber Rounds/Oiled Frame | Icarus | Snapshot/Reinforced Barrel

The same logic from the PDX-41 applies here with the PDX-45. Counterbalance is simply the truth with Pulse Rifles at this point in Destiny’s metagame. Look out for a Counterbalance roll in coming weeks. Aside from that, look for perks that increase the base stability and range for extra comfort in both PvP and PvE.

#1 – UZUME RR4

  1. Snapshot / Casket Mag | Battle Runner / Mulligan
  2. Firefly | Snapshot / Handlaid Stock | Replinish / Eye of the Storm
  3. Luck in the Chamber| Snapshot/ Injection Mold| Battle Runner \ Mulligan

There isn’t much to see here, but overall roll #1 seems to be the best bet with its low-zoom scope and decent PvE setup. Firefly and Mulligan are pretty useful in strikes, and the handling increase from Snapshot can’t hurt. While this isn’t the perfect roll, the Uzume isn’t often associated with amazing PvP performance, and this roll hits some of the high points of PvE QoL perks.

Next Week’s Orders

Weapon Type Impact Notable Stat
SUROS ARI-41 Auto Rifle Medium Aim Assistance (72)
Kumakatoc HC4 Hand Cannon

Medium-Low Aim Assistance (74)
Herja-D Pulse Rifle Medium Stability (72)
SUROS JLB-47 Rocket Launcher n/a Velocity (74)
Jingukogo-D Shotgun Medium Range (12)

SUROS ARI-41

This is another Monte Carlo style auto rifle coming in at a whopping 68 base stability. Its range is about as low as we’ve seen at 17 though, so this gun will absolutely depend on range perks to have any use outside of close range PvP. Other than that, it has high Aim Assistance (72) and decent reload speed (54), so we’ll be keeping a close eye on the rolls next week.

Kumakatok HC4

This is a Down and Doubt 00-0 clone. It has a unique low-impact archetype with decent stability and great aim assistance. Without a range buff, this gun’s 15 range may only be good enough for low-stakes PvE. However, OMOLON offers us plenty of chances for Firefly and Triple Tap, so this gun could definitely shine in Strikes and questing situations.

Herja-D

The Herja-D has the impact archetype of the Vanguard’s Apple of Discord. It comes in with a fantastic 72 stability and 68 reload speed, so next week, we’ll be looking for Counterbalance to correct the awkward Hakke recoil pattern and more stability to make it a laser in PvE and PvP.

JLB-47

Being a Rocket Launcher, we’re going to be most interested in the rolls rather than the stats, but this launcher will offer us the right stats to be competitive in PvE and PvP. With a high blast radius of 84, magazine size of 2 and velocity of 74, the JLB-47 will give you everything you need to hit your targets, and we highly recommend placing an order to try it out next week.

Jingukogo-D

This is a shotgun that’s destined to fail. The impact model isn’t high enough to be competitive in the Crucbile, but it doesn’t fire fast enough to be any fun in PvE. Regardless, it’s going to be available in three different flavors next week, so if you want to try your luck out and see if something fun comes up, we’ll be here to let you know if anything sticks out.
