#1 – Kumakatok HC4
- Third Eye, Rifled Barrel, Firefly
This is about as good as it gets! While each roll this week has something to offer, this is the most well rounded roll. Rifled Barrel adds much needed range to the party, and Sureshot IS adds a notable amount of aim assistance. Firefly is the main attraction for PvE players, while Third Eye can save you in both PvE and PvP. There are better rolls out there (Luck in the Chamber would be on the wish list), but overall this is a great roll.
#2 – TUONELA SR4
- Triple Tap, Single-Point Sling, Firefly
This is basically the Tuonela’s take on the “Hung Jury Roll” that we all became familiar with from the beginning of The Taken King. Triple Tap and Firefly are the gold standards of PvE perks. Firefly will add some AoE to your kit while Triple Tap can help against ammo shortages. Don’t go for Feather Mag; this clip size is low enough at 13!
#3 – SUROS PDX-41
- Fitted Stock, Hidden Hand, Rifled Barrel
Imagine what this gun can become! With the added stability of Fitted Stock, the huge bonus to range from Rifled Barrel and the aim assistance from Hidden Hand, you’ve got a beast of a pulse rifle to bring into the Crucible. This would be great for picking off targets from a distance, and it would pair great with a Shotgun or Sidearm in PvP.
#1 – SUROS PDX-45
- Perfect Balance, Full Auto, Hand-Laid Stock
This is about as good as it gets for both PvE and PvP. Give your trigger finger a rest with full auto and your aiming hand a rest with both Perfect Balance and Hand-Laid Stock. What about range? We think this gun will be fine as it is, including in PvP. While Full Auto can’t beat something like Counterbalance or Hidden Hand in PvP, it still helps you free up some mental real estate by focusing on aiming rather than pulling the trigger.
Any – Eirene RR4
- Outlaw – Quickdraw/Reinforced Barrel – Unflinching/Last Resort
- Triple Tap – High Caliber Rounds/Hand-Laid Stock – Battle Runner/Underdog
- Army of One – High Caliber Rounds/Casket Mag – Replenish/Last Resort
The Eirene has a diverse perk pool, and this week we’re going to try out this roll for PvE. The main attraction here is actually the low-zoom Faucon SS1 scope, but don’t sleep on Triple Tap or Battle Runner. Triple Tap will reward you for focusing DPS on a boss in a strike, and if the going gets tough, pick off a lesser enemy to get away with Battle Runner! If you aren’t down with this strategy, Underdog helps for most other situations.
Next Week’s Orders
| Weapon | Type | Impact | Notable Stat |
| Arminius-D | Auto Rifle | Lowest | AA (80) |
| Gaheris-D | Hand Cannon | Medium | AA (80) |
| Judith-D | Hand Cannon | Highest | AA (60) |
| Uffern HC4 | Hand Cannon | Medium-High | Stability (70) |
| Uzume RR4 | Sniper Rifle | Medium | Reload (75) |
Hakke Arminius-D
This Auto Rifle archetype has become extremely popular with the introduction of the Doctrine of Passing, but with this gun’s stat blend, we’ll need a lot of help from perks to be competitive. We’ll see next week if there are enough perks offered to shore up the stability while providing some use in either PvE or PvP.
Hakke Gaheris-D
This Hawkmoon archetype Hand Cannon will need help to fix its 23 base range, but with 80 Aim Assistance, we’re willing to hold out hope that we can make it work. This gun also has decent base stability and a very attractive Recoil Direction stat (something we don’t mention that often unless it’s really high). If you want a balanced Legendary Hand Cannon, this gun can be the answer to your problems as long as you don’t mind the small clip size of 7.
Hakke Judith-D
We’re going to be ordering this Hand Cannon based on the fact alone that Hakke Hand Cannons are hard to come by. As for the archetype here, we’re looking at the highest impact class, similar to a Timur’s Lash. However, the gun will be coming in with base 17 stability, 26 reload speed and a clip size of 7, so there are a lot of deficiencies that perks will need to fix.
OMOLON Uffern HC4
This Omolon Hand Cannon, along with The Vanity from the Future War Cult, has a unique impact archetype, right below the highest but still higher than the Hawkmoon and Fatebringer. The gun will probably look and feel nice due to Omolon’s design and the base stability of 70, but we’re seriously worried about the low base range of 24. Hopefully we’ll see some range perks offered next week.
OMOLON UZUME RR4
This Sniper Rifle shares the impact/RoF class of the Eye of Sol, but it packs way more base stability at 58. In non-revive game modes, this is a great option for getting quick headshots or double tapping for body shot kills. We’ll be looking for something like Triple Tap or Zen Moment for PvE while hoping for a Faucon SS1 low-zoom scope for PvP.
